Appeal Process for Fire Hazard Notification
If you believe the notice you received was issued in error, are unable to meet the May 1st compliance deadline, or object to your unimproved property being identified as a fire hazard, you have the right to appeal.
Property owners may submit a written appeal to the District’s Fire Marshal using one of the following methods:

Complete and return the appeal form included with your notice to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department at the address listed on the form; or

Submit your appeal using the online form below.
Property owners who maintain an objection to the proposed removal of weeds or vegetation identified as a fire hazard are also invited to present their concerns at the regular meeting of the Governing Board of the El Dorado Hills County Water District. This meeting will be held on the third Thursday in May at 6:00 P.M. at 1050 Wilson Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. Objections will be heard and given full consideration at that time.
