A Safe Haven in Times of Crisis

The El Dorado Hills Fire Department is proud to participate in the National Safe Place program. All of our fire stations serve as designated Safe Place locations, offering immediate help and safety to youth in crisis, runaway children, and individuals experiencing abuse or fear for their safety.

If someone arrives at a fire station in need, our trained personnel will respond with compassion and urgency. We will ensure they are safe and connect them with the appropriate community resources or emergency services.

When You Need a Safe Place:

  • Simply enter any El Dorado Hills Fire Station.

  • Let a firefighter or staff member know that you need help.

  • We will contact the right support agency to assist you.

You are never alone — we are here to help, 24/7.

What Is the National Safe Place?

The National Safe Place is a nationwide network that provides access to immediate help and supportive resources for youth in crisis. Fire stations, libraries, businesses, and other public facilities across the country participate in this lifesaving initiative.
