The El Dorado Hills Fire Department uses social media to share important updates, meetings, safety tips, event information, and highlights from around our district. We value respectful communication and are committed to maintaining a welcoming, family-friendly online environment.

By interacting with our social media accounts, you agree to follow the guidelines outlined below.

Purpose of Our Social Media Platforms

Our official social media pages are intended to:

  • Share emergency alerts and real-time updates

  • Promote fire and life safety education

  • Highlight events, programs, and community partnerships

  • Celebrate the work of our team and volunteers

Community Engagement and Public Comments

We welcome questions, comments, and thoughtful discussion. Please note that all comments and messages posted to our social media accounts are considered public records under the California Public Records Act.

For emergencies or urgent matters, always call 9-1-1.

Comment Moderation Guidelines

To maintain a respectful space for everyone, we reserve the right to hide or remove comments that include:

  • Profanity, vulgarity, or obscenities

  • Personal attacks or hate speech

  • Discriminatory or offensive remarks

  • Threats or content that promotes violence or illegal behavior

  • Spam, unsolicited promotions, or irrelevant links

  • False or misleading information

  • Content that invades personal privacy

  • Comments unrelated to the original post

Repeated violations may result in the user being restricted or blocked from our pages.

Our Role in Moderation

We monitor our pages during regular business hours and on a limited basis after hours. Our team may remove inappropriate content as soon as it is identified. If you notice something that violates these guidelines, you’re welcome to contact us so we can review it.
